Electrical Tape

Exhibit A, ladies and gentlemen. My son's end of season rugby boots. He didn't complain or ask for new boots (Ok, maybe he asked once), he made a plan with electrical tape and this is how he held it together for his last two or three matches of the season. He joked that it's a great advert for the strength of electrical tape! (Any sponors out there, haha!)
The thing is, it's that time of the year where sometimes we feel we're held together by a bit of tape and maybe a lick and a prayer. We're just hoping we can make it in one piece by the end of the term/project/deadline/struggle. It can look like we're held together, but really we're anything but. If you feel this way, know you're not alone.
I want to offer an invitation to women who are feeling like my son's taped together boots. On Thursday 4th June we are having a morning of coffee, tea and cake and delving into two potentially helpful strategies for dealing with overwhelm and stress.

This is going to be a gentle and life-giving morning. You will walk away with ideas, inspiration and a few goodies that will hopefully be useful to you.
All proceeds from this event go to Singakwenza. An amazing NGO based in Hilton working to promote early childhood development. I swam the Oceans 8 Charity swim for Singakwenza on the 23rd and 24th May - beautiful event! You can read the article from last years swim to see what it's all about.
If you want more info, feel free to give me a call (my number is on the advert). Or simply sign up using this Quicket link, we would love to have you join us!

PS: Men, I see you. I acknowledge men have as hard a time as women, the struggles may have very similiar roots, but look quite different and be dealt with very differently. I encourage men to reach out to friends and family they enjoy spending time with. Don't feel sidelined or forgotten, you are important.
