The chocolate game
Something fun to do on this very chilly weekend. The chocolate game is an old classic that the family can play together. But it comes with a warning, you will find out who the most competitive people are in your family very fast!!
You need a bar of chocolate, wrapper off.
Some gloves and a beanie.
You also need a knife and fork and a dice.
Everyone sit in a circle. Place the chocolate bar, knife and fork in the centre. Take turns to throw the dice. If you throw a 6, you put on the gloves and beanie as fast as you can, pick up the knife and fork and start cutting a piece of chocolate off the block. If you cut one piece off you can eat it, you must finish that before starting to cut another piece.
HOWEVER. The dice continues around the circle, if someone else throws a 6 while the first person is still busy, the first person has to stop and take off gloves and beanie and give it to the next person who throws a 6. And so on.
The object of the game is to be as fast as possible so that you can eat as much chocolate as possible! BUT remember you always have to have the beanie and gloves on and use the knife and fork while it is your turn!
The game is over when the chocolate is finished. For younger kids (and chocoholic adults), it may be advisable to have consolation prize chocolate in case not everyone gets to get some chocolate.
Note that this is not a Covid compliant game! You can only play it with the people you live with (unless maybe everyone is vaccinated!).
